Alnwick Northumberland
For Easter we had a trip up the coast to Alnwick to see the castle and to try out the luggage on the bikes.

We stayed 2 nights at the Crosshills House B&B, which is just a short walk into town (less than 10 mins) and has the added bonus of off street parking, so the bikes were nice and secure. Our thanks to Lawrence & Brenda who gave us such a warm welcome and made us feel at home. Click on the pic for more information.
Alnwick has lots of places to eat to suit all tastes & pockets and we would recommend the Dalchini Indian restaurant which we sampled on Easter Friday. Saturday was spent walking miles & miles round Alnwick Castle itself (no we didnt see Harry Potter) and also Alnwick Gardens. Some of the local drinking establishments had to be sampled namely the Queens Head and The Fleece.
